Eighties Athiests

Having recently returned from my 20th college reunion at our alma mater, I am particularly sensitive to the music of that era. A friend put together a CD with assorted tunes from time of Ronald Reagan, "Top Gun", "Ferris Bueller" and, just like today "Rocking the Casbah."

However, certain songs have a timeless quality that can be extended by removing the unseemly references to the Almighty and the Hereafter. Michael Newdow, the so-called progenitor of the album linked to above is the fellow who, every election season, makes sure the Republicans retain control of the country, by promiscuously filing baseless suits to make atheism the state religion. His latest ploy is to remove "In God We Trust" from the currency. All props to his musical scores.
