Requiem for an Anti-Communist

A decade ago when I had some op-eds in the Washington Times, Arnold Beichman's column ran regularly. I had read him for a while and liked his columns very much. I had no idea, until the middle of this decade on how old he was. He was born before the first world war and had been a partisan in the anti-communist cause for half a century or more before the Soviet Union fell. Really a remarkable life. To be in such good shape, with such a sharp mind at such a late age is a great blessing. R.I.P.
