Going Down to the Sea in (Someone Else's) Ships

Russia celebrated Defender of the Motherland Day, also known as Army Day, on February 23. Russia has never exactly lacked large, powerful weapons of various kinds, so one wonders why it was felt necessary to include the USS Missouri on a commemorative poster for the holiday.

JJV observes: "Sure, 3 weeks against Japan and they get to use our wessels!"

This is the finest example of mistaken postering since Evil Bert from 'Sesame Street' showed up on bin Laden support placards!

I picture a big parade in Red Square with an enormous wall portrait of Sean Connery in The Hunt for Red October.
