It is fitting that while our space-saving combination washer-dryer is worked on yet again (we were unaware that the number of repair visits is also a combined number), I note this article in Slate on short-but-sweet movie reviews.
The site mentioned in the article, The Four-Word Film Review, is definitely worth at least a quick look.
The Webby Awards, meanwhile, impose a five-word limit on acceptance speeches. Even JJV might chuckle at Al Gore's: "Please don't recount this vote." OK, OK, he's a threat to the republic and what's so funny about that, John Kerry sounds French, etc. (I figure since he did such yeoman work in my absence from the blog I would make it up to him. You're welcome.)
