Ola Mi Bebe, Ola Mi Miel

Workers repairing a cathedral in Mexico City discovered a time capsule from 1791 in a bell tower. Normally one associates time capsules with cornerstones but apparently this was a commemoration of the last stone laid. There was a similar ceremony in 1990 when the last stone of Washington National Cathedral was placed. President George H.W. Bush spoke but it is not true that he uttered the words "Read my lips - no new tithes."

There were unsubstantiated reports of a muffled voice singing "La Cucaracha" in a ringing baritone from within the time capsule. However, the capsule was quickly resealed and only one worker had to be committed briefly to the Psychopathic Hospital.
