Before slowed by age and illness the previous Pope was known for his athletic pursuits including skiing. The current Bishop of Rome seems less fun-loving and active by several orders of magnitude, but that has not stopped the Archdiocese of New York from commemorating His Holiness' upcoming US visit with - wait for it - a Papal Skateboard Contest.
I only wish that I were either 20 years younger or my kids were ten years older so I could make proper sport of this. On the other hand it sort of stands on its own so I don't have to embarrass myself (further, in a different way) by making Keanu Reeves references when in fact the movie in question had Christian Slater in it. As KR might say, "Whoa."
