Orson Welles famous line from "The Third Man' needs a revision. "500 years of peace and democracy produced the cuckoo clock...and the jet wing."
I just tried to imagine the size of a jet wing that could loft Orson Welles.I failed.
Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... fill in your own witty ending here. (Gotta admit, looks pretty cool -- though didn't Sean Connery do the same thing 40 years ago in a James Bond flick?)
It was actually a jet pack in Thunderball; I am ashamed I haad to look that up.
