With a lifelong career with words you would think Peggy Noonan would recognize these two: ON AIR. Well, maybe not.

Update: In comments JJV notes Noonan's explanation. A transcript of the proceedings, which should exonerate Noonan, is somehow lacking from her, shall we say, Narrative. Here's one, although since it's from the Atlantic it is no doubt ginned up out of whole cloth. The audio on the accompanying video is almost certainly performed by actors; I think Noonan is played by Streep but the sound is a bit choppy.
