I loved Conan's introductory and closing remarks -- and the idea of Shatner as beatnik Palin poet. But it was just all right for me, dawg. Shatner just wasn't channeling his inner Kirk. The delivery wasn't staccato enough. Though I loved those crazy bongos, baby. (This bit reminded me of when Conan had James Lipton reciting a beat poem about the Manatee, which I cannot for the life of me find a clip of.)
