Quick recap: members of Russian all-girl protest/punk band Pussy Riot recently got sentenced to two years in prison for "religious hatred" and that hardy perennial "hooliganism" for staging a guerilla musical performance in Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior. On the other hand, it could have been worse (totally NSFW). I, too, am shocked - shocked! - to find authoritarianism alive and well in Russia. I'll bet Putin had a KGB office building full of compromising-even-for-Yeltsin** pictures.
