Osama Is Dead and So Is Hostess

I have to say I don't know how anyone could go broke who sells Hostess Fruit Pies and Wonderbread, never mind twinkies, Ding Dongs and Ho Hos.  Nonetheless, just like at the end of Kong it 'twas beauty killed the Beast" at the end of Hostess 'twas unions killed the Sweets."  http://www.breitbart.com/big-government     There used to be a Wonderbread bakery in Riverdale, NY (the Bronx) when I was young and you'd go by and smell the bakings and it was tremendous, as NY in the 70's did not chiefly smell of baked bread.

My kids have been reading old Marvel comics from the 70's (where would they get those) and many, many. many of them have advertisements for Hostess Fruit Pies etc..  I suspect that a bigger corporation will buy the brands and they will continue.

Dave is sometmes called the Baker in our circles, and surely will applaud this militancy by his fellow Bakers as other MSNBC'ers would.  I however, will pause a moment to mourn the passing of another American icon.  Now that doughboy will have no obstacle to world domination.

You will be shocked to learn that there is slightly more to the story than union perfidy (rejecting a paycut while executive salaries balloon? Outrageous!).

The lefty blogosphere is all over this but I will take pains to point out that the link I provide goes to Forbes, that bastion of Bolshevism.
