No sooner did I get an automatic email from Arlington County notifying me that several vintage Stearman training planes were going to land at National Airport this morning, than the Washington Post informed me that one of them crashed on landing. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the crash and even the plane itself appeared to be relatively unharmed, despite flipping forward onto its top wing. Even more fortunately, as that Post link shows, one of the paper's reporters was on board with what appears to be a helmet-cam.
I suspect that any future rides in a Consolidated N2Y (as mentioned here) will have to be on the down low, as I am sure that Laura would not greenlight another one after seeing this.

Down to Earth
Obviously this would be called the Ground-Level Club but it's not really that exclusive, is it now?

Wonkette reports on a press conference with chess grandmaster/political activist Garry Kasparov that got interrupted by an all-too-easily-identified flying object. I suppose you could say it penetrated the conference's airspace.
