The Associated Press reports the fate of an overly ambitious eagle.
Two observations:
1) An eagle carrying a deer head would have made a fine coat of arms for one of the lesser German principalities.
2) Perhaps if two eagles had carried the head between them on a strand of creeper, everything would have turned out OK.
