The Black Eyed Peas, I am reliably informed, were discussing something else but I felt their song appropriate here. While rural livestock and animal competitions are fonts for humor world wide (See Best In Show) a beauty contest in a land where actual beauty contests can get you killed does strike me as mordantly funny.
Camels are also a particularly humorous animal. "A horse designed by committee" as Twain is supposed to have said.
Strikingly, all of the contestants were for World Peace and believed the children are our future.

I find it ironic that the prizes for a contest celebrating the traditional nomadic lifestyle are... SUVs.
Other than that I find myself disturbingly in agreement with the judge's aesthetic standards for camel beauty. Now where did my Lawrence of Arabia DVD go?
