Don't Let the Door of Marine One Hit You in the Ass on the Way Out

Using strong blog magic, this should be the last post of the disastrous Bush years on this blog. I don't have much to say on the subject as all my energy is focused on using this magic, except of course Good Riddance to the worst President of my lifetime. And I was alive for the happy fun Nixon years, too.

Those who would accuse me of Bush Derangement Syndrome have some thinking to do. In the meantime, and speaking of which, commenters are encouraged to come up with ways in which this country is actually stronger and better now than it was on this day in 2001.

Thank you, and God Bless the United States of America.

Our GNP is greater, Iraq which has been an enemy nation for most of our lives is an ally and we are no longer sleep walking through the Islamo-fascist assault. I also find this one of the most tasteless things ever posted on this site. Once again liberals class up the inaugaration. So much for the civility you always foist on others.

Darn, I knew I should have titled that recent post "Mars Farts!"...

Have I been foisting? I apologize. Sure, I censored - once out of hundreds of posts - but foisting? Gotta cite your sources on that one.

If it were not for the Presidency of George W. Bush I doubt there would be a President Barack Hussein Obama.

I knew it was coming, but I was surprised that the new President's fiddling with the plain text of the Constitution would start with his inaugural oath.

Shockingly, you can thank Chief Justice Roberts for that departure from the text.

Wouldn't a door hit you on the ass and not in the ass? Talk amongst yourselves!

With the exception of the 401K, I am better off than I was 8 years ago. When Clinton left office, I was better off after his administration. I chalk some of that up to hard work, smart decisions, a little luck, being thankful for so much and trying not to be too whiny.

Yup, I'm making this all about me. But I spent the past 3 of the past 4 days making all about other people and my feet & brain hurt.

I hate to say it but Justice Roberts, when interrupted by Obama saying his name before he was ready, flubbed the oath. Even Mark Levin says it was not Obama's fault as he clearly knew the oath and waited for the Chief to correct. However, he did speak to soon, sayng his name before the first clause was done. And Roberts was an appellate litigator. He should be used to interruptions. Its pretty funny that both these guys are Harvard law grads but under the pressure flubbed the thing. They are both very young for where they are and I'd love to know if they knew each other in school as they must have been there at the same time.

On a complete tangent, I was struck by the image of Cheney in a wheelchair -- visions of The Simpson's Mr. Burns and It's a Wonderful Life's Mr. Potter dancing in my head.

It was a good speech. I can see how 50-some percent of the nation was bamboozled by him.
