Lions and Hikers and Bears, Oh My

JJV is toiling away in an undisclosed location, ensuring that the wheels of justice grind his opponents into powder. (I'm actually fine with that, in this particular case.) In the meantime, he sent along this story about a guy who found out, in a rather roundabout* way, why it's not a good idea to stop and gawk at a mother bear and her cub. JJV notes:
My view is that those wildlife photographers wait years in the bush for this kind of confrontation and this guy lucks into a panther/bear fight. Dumb luck, indeed.
Yes. The kind of luck that has the Darwin Award Committee thinking "He was THIS close!"
