It's like someone was reading my mind

Via The Atlantic Cities, a site that almost makes up for its persistent misuse of statistics by its ability to find corners of the Internet unknown to me, I see that someone has finally created an app to fill the true social networking need, avoiding people you know. Awesomely called Hell is Other People, the app uses FourSquare to locate your friends, then identifies areas where you are least likely to encounter them.

The only drawback I see is that it relies upon you and all your friends actually using a social networking service. Luddites may be difficult to avoid.
