Charlie Sheen-When He's Right, He's right.

Now I never thought I'd be standing up for any of the Sheens except maybe the Spanish sounding one because he was in Red Dawn. The lefty Catholic Dad and the drug addled, party hearty, pornmeister Charlie not so much. Nonetheless, in the rant above I detect the grandeur of Satan in Paradise Lost who would rather rule in hell than serve in Heaven.

How many times do we have to see the celebrities offer mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa and then go on with worse crime thereafter. Not Charlie. No apologies. Now some of us would not have come up with the plan of having our hot ex-wife and our children stay opposite us in a hotel while we paid a porn star thousands of dollars to have sex in the room across the way. But we are the little people. Charlie thought it up on his own and then made it into a police incident. How happy his children must have been.

But here is where the defense comes in. Charlie Sheen thinks Thomas Jefferson is a wuss. I, too, and unemamoured of the Sage of Monticello. He was always calling for the ground to be watered with the blood of tyrants while he skedalled from the bloodshed. He lifted not a hand to save Louis XVI who had saved the Revolution and threw in with his killers. He never freed his slaves, like Washington, because unlike the Father of our Country he could not contain his spendthrift ways. So on the principle that even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again I think Charlie is on to something here.

As for Alcoholics Anonymous I think he's unfair. They're anonymous. For all he knows David Petraeus is a member.

Personally, I'm waiting on C. Sheen to star along side M. Gibson in a Mel Directed production released in 3D IMAX (soundtrack by M. Mathers & K. West). It's the American way.

I'm waiting for Sheen's new "reality" show, "Charlie's Angels." Think of it as the Bachelor meets Survivor meets Big Brother meets that show about interventions. Or Fox (or MTV) could just strap a little camera onto Charlie's forehead and see what happens.

So somebody else doesn't like Jefferson?! Very intelligent guy, but comes off as a know-it-all that I'd never have wanted to have dinner with, and, as you pointed out, all talk, no action.
